It is official! I am now 13 weeks, and we can (safely) tell the world we are pregnant! By this point, I have had two ultrasounds. Of course, our baby looked much like a bean on the 8 week ultrasound. But by 12 weeks, our baby looked more human...yeah! We were supposed to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks, but the baby was resting just under the scar from my surgery last May. Therefore, the scar tissue was blocking the doppler from hearing the baby's heartbeat. Needless to say, I was extremely worried. Although we couldn't hear the heartbeat, the doctor brought in an ultrasound machine, and I was able to see my little jumping bean, and he/she had a very strong heartbeat. The baby was jumping and moving around like crazy! I am also starting to develop a little baby bump. I can no longer fit into any of my pre-pregnancy pants :( However, I have found some cute maternity clothes, and, thanks to Mom and Bev, I have quite a wardrobe collection going!
Jen, I'm so glad you're doing this! It will be great to follow along with your pregnancy this way. Congrats on making it to the 2nd trimester! That's a big deal.
